3D product visuals

Fiskars is a well-known Finnish brand that produces tools for gardening, crafts, and everyday home use. In 2025, the company introduced its electric gardening tools, a launch I had the opportunity to support through a series of 3D product visualisation shots. These 3D sequences were later combined with live-action footage to create the final product launch film.

Role:

  • Shot design
  • Motion design
  • Product feature highlighting
  • 3D product visualisation
  • Rigging

One of the main challenges was designing the sequences before the live-action footage had been shot, while still allowing for last-minute adjustments during editing.

To keep the workflow flexible, we cleaned the CAD models, hid potential artifacts that could appear during final crops, and removed unnecessary polygons. This helped keep the scene files lightweight, allowing product shots to be quickly re-rendered when changes were needed—even within a short turnaround.

The sequences were designed at a large 2560 × 2560 resolution, giving the edit team the freedom to crop multiple formats later for different deliverables.

To keep render times manageable, the light trail effect was created later in Fusion rather than in the 3D render, avoiding heavy overnight renders and allowing faster iteration.
